Central Maine Heart Associates (CMHA) provides cardiology care to patients over the age of 18 for coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, arrhythmia, pacemaker, trans-telephonic pacemaker, and automatic implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ACID) checks, anticoagulation management, valvular heart disease, pre-operative clearance.
CMHA physicians have access to the
Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute's (CMHVI) array of sophisticated testing professionals and technology, including: Holter monitor and event recorder application and interpretation; EKG interpretation; echocardiogram; exercise treadmill test; stress echocardiogram; dobutamine stress echocardiogram; transesophageal echocardiogram; sestamibi testing (regular and adenosine); tilt table testing; and 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
CMHVI's echocardiography lab is accredited by the
Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories.
